Cute hotel with beautiful antique furniture in a fantastic location. The front office is very pleasant.
First the heat is turned up and the rooms are so hot. We called but they are not able to turn down the heat for each individual room. Second, we are on the first floor with a huge window and just outside the delivery trucks for loading beer to the disco downstairs walk by our window. It does not feel safe. Third, the disco is in the same building and the noise is so bad, we cannot sleep. On top of that, the smoke alarm went off at 12:47am. The hotel was kind enough to provide ear plugs but that doesn't really help when the noise is so loud that the air and the furniture vibrate. Today is a Monday night and is our first night here. We were exhausted from traveling overseas and I thought we would sleep through anything but it is now 1:23am and we have been woken up the entire night and I am finally awake. I worry about the next four nights here. :-(
good hotel, very convenient to grafton street and gaiety theatre good breakfast and value for money
disco on a tuesday night - not much sleep but if you are a party animal during the week this is the place to be!!
Good location, clean and fairly comfortable rooms, staff - particularly at reception, very friendly and helpful. We arrived mid morning and several of the rooms booked were ready (3 out of 4) and we were given access there and then.
We have stayed here 3 times in the last 2 years and depending on the position of your room, it can be very noisy until the nightclub closes (approx. 3A.M.)
The rooms were extremely spacious & very cosy
The reception staff were slightly off with me as a guest checking-in
Room was ok but the sound from the street at the night time was very disturbing.
A great price a little noisy but quiet after 1 to be expected given location. Room had no air conditioning
Location was great, hotel was clean, staff very hardworking and cheerful too.
The music was very loud.......Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so I did not get very much sleep....
The room was very nicely laid out. The hotels beer garden was a great place to hang out with good drink prices.
Not a great place for families to stay with the busy loud nightlife scene
The hotel was beautiful, the room was spacious and very nicely furnished. Couldn't believe how cheap it was, the room we got should have been 240euros and cost only 30euros with breakfast (of a value of 32.40) included. The breakfast was also very nice. Really well situated at the end of grafton street, next to St Stephens Park in the middle of dublin.
The street noise is very loud, though we were warned of this and it didn't bother us, they do provide earplugs though we didn't use them.
The Noise it was horrendous disco went on for hours and my room was right above it, I got no sleep !!!!!
The price was very affordable and the location was excellent as our event was just across the road. The room was amazing....way larger than we expected. Room service was also good and the food was divine.
The noise from the nightclub was a little off-putting. Also the elevator is extremely tiny!!
Location and price
The nightclub below was extremely noisy until about 3 am. We requested a room further up and were moved from the 1st floor to the 3rd, but unfortunately the music was still as loud.
Very big room, kind staff, good breakfast (with two option: irish or continental), very close to everything in the city. As there is a discotheque below the hotel, the hotel also provides earplugs in case the noise bothers you.
The best thing about this hotel is its location, just off Stephen's Green and within walking distance to everything. The hotel itself was clean and the room we had was spacious. The price we got was a really good deal.
Noise! Although we requested a quiet room, we were in a room facing onto the main street and the noise from the pub and club was loud, and the people fighting outside at 2am! We had food in the bar on the first day and found it to be a little overpriced for the standard. No table service either, you had to go order your food yourself and then collect it, despite there being many staff standing around doing very little but chatting, the bar staff were not friendly either!
Great location, comfortable room, excellent value for money.
Very noisy! it's above a nightclub.
